Yep - Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden all have better songs than ours - as usual. (And Sweden had to chose from a whole bunch that were better)
Wonder if Iceland may get a backlash from the volcano!
Neither does it sound that good either, though.
Vote for ANY Scandinavian country, people!

From reading the M & M Production Management Blog it looks like a more basic stage this year but with some really lovely elements to it - moving away from the large video displays thank goodness. Glass stage of 2005 looks like it's making a return and they have included some nice 3D elements for cameras to move around - although certain parts of the stage do look like an oversized chandelier from the stills.
Have also read in the M & M blog of an interesting new camera angle to be used this year. They have a rail cam up in the rigging as normal but it travels through 2 sliding 50" plasma screens. Hopefully it'll look nice and not naf!
Looking forward to seeing all of their hard work on screen now next week!

I'm loving the rehearsal footage. Note that this isn't the actual vision mixed camera footage - it's taken from a separate camera(s) in the arena - so you don't get an idea as to how the band will be covered (other than when you see railcams and steadicams belting around all over the place!)
I'm SO pleased that they've decided to do something more interesting than just wall-to-wall LED screens. I guess after the amazingly well designed LED set in Moscow (that would have bankrupted NRK I suspect) they decided to not try and compete.
It appears that they have lots of different bits of set they can use, some very nice lighting stuff instead of screens, and some acts have some quite elaborate moving bits of set of their own (Denmark?)
I'm really looking forward to this year. Think it's going to be a very classy show with lots of thought put into it.
