I reckon Shirley Clamp will automatically qualify. Not sure who will qualify with her and who will qualify for Andra Chans.

So; Alcazar and Emilia through to the Final, with Scotts and Caroline af Ugglas to Andra Chansen, and Caroline chosen as one of the four "last finalists" by the International Jury (represented tonight by a clueless French spokesman who didn't know whether or not Petra was insulting him or not).
Until I heard the song, I thought Shirley was a shure-fire for the final, but wasn't surprised when I heard the song to hear that she'd finished last.

I'll explain - it's a bit complicated.
The two finalists are the two finalists, end of.
The two Andra Chansen acts, however, aren't automatic finalists.
The international jury chooses an act out of the 8 presented to go into a group of 4, out of which they will pick a song and add that to the final, thus there will be 11 songs in the final.
Since the finalists are finalists, they're exempt from this because they don't need to go through any other process to go to the final. However, an act that is in Andra Chansen does, so even if the public don't vote the song top in AC, they can still go to the final based on what the international jury thinks.
That isn't very clear - sorry!

I'm slightly confused.
Emilia and Alcazar will go to the final.
Does that mean that Scotta - Jag tror på oss and Caroline af Ugglas - Snälla, snälla are the Andra Chansen selection?
However, how does the influence of Caroline winning the international jury selection work?

Yes - the point is the IJ is meant to decide on whether the songs will work "from a Eurovision perspective".
Their voting weight in the final will be equal to the 11 other individual juries (1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12).

So basically, af Ugglas for example could lose her duel in Andra Chansen, but still go to the final if the international jury voted her top of their four?
