If anyone's interested in the lighting side of eurovision, there's a blog at www.eurovisiondiary.com which is done by the lighting team. They also have little bits about the other areas.
That diary has made a welcome comeback. I missed it last year when the diary wasn't running. The site provides mostly information from the lighting perspective, however there is a few images such as the HD OB truck and inside it.
Indeed and apparently people are complaining that Doctor Who is not being shown because of it. Its only ONE week off!
Anyway, only just over a week to go until we hear Terry in mono sound saying
"Well...aha...Good evening from Helsinki where, its all glitz and glamour here tonight. Home of Lordi...or is it "Good Lordi!" the rock supremos who won last year"
etc

I do love Eurovision night.
Some of the aliens who are appear on
Doctor Who
are slightly more normal than some of the entrants on Europigeon
May we should enter a Darlek next year to pacify Huvians. Darleks would exterminate the opposition (ho ho)!
Slightly OT question here but does anyone know who broadcasts the contest in Germany as I will be staying there for the final (flying on semi-final night). If it's a regional thing I'm in the Frankfurt area
I bought the Eurovision album yesterday and I couldn't believe how bad most of the songs are this year. I actually think the Scooch song is ten times better then most of them, which is saying something from such a rather tacky entry. It's a shame Cyndi didn't win as her song would have got decent marks.
