Good Luck England!

*ahem* United Kingdom if you don't mind.

Unless of course you're talking about the football or cricket!

There has never been a lock-out camera in the commentary booth before. Not even at the NIA in 1998 when the BBC built Wogan his comm booth just off the main stage.

One year in the 1980's the camera panned around the back of the arena to where the national commentators were all positioned and Wogan held up a massive "Hello Mum" sign to the window.

There was a clip on the 50th anniversary programme the other night of Terry leaning out of the window of the booth and talking to the presenter. I think it might have been from the year after he hosted it

You're not easily pleased are you, two big one off events on the major channels, plus Doctor Who and Big Fight Live, makes a change from the usual tired series that are shown every other week Rolling Eyes

The eurovision.tv online feed is showing the outbound feed from Greece going to the broadcasters.

Was showing a 10 min loop, then moved onto a live feed from the hall. Now a test card:

EDIT: Now back to the hall:

Cool pics.

Is that RTÉ next to the BBC commentary box there in Terry's picture?
If so, it seems the two countries get lumped together a lot. In motor racing RTÉ are also next to ITV.

You're not in the semi - unless you want to be?

Notice no Germany, France nor Spain. They're all the "big four" - the major broadcasters who don't do the semis but do the final. They can't be eliminated before the final else they wouldn't bother carrying it

One thing I noticed about that template for the national phone numbers - its not 4:3 safe. Some countries might have issues actually seeing it if they broadcast only in 4:3!
