Eurosport News was even worse than Setanta Sports News for incompetent broadcasting. Most of the time the football scores were out of date, and it the channel wasn't updated frequently enough. So a return for this channel will not be welcome.
And I'd rather British Eurosport went 16:9 rather than than relegate the widescreen output to the HD channel.

Another Eurosport channel has launched today, Eurosport HD is on Sky 412, SD events are shown in widescreen on this channel too. According to DS Eurosport News is returning to the UK after it was previously replaced by Eurosport 2.

Eurosport News was dire, imagine EuroNews but in a rather boring way. Anyway Eurosport News is on pretty much most of the time Eurosport 2 isn't showing anything.

I think the logo has been around since what, 1993 now??? Certainly has to be one of the longest lasting logos on British television (yes I know Eurosport is French...). The Channel 4 logo is around longer, but has been restyled and altered (lost its colour and thrown in a circle, then a box, then the current 3D-ised version) but the Eurosport logo has stayed identical.
(Someone will point out now how the US networks have had much the same logos since the 1950s...)
Oddly enough, I prefered the original Europsort logo from 1989. Same idea, but the text was in a different font and was red and yellow instead of blue and white/red.

Eurosport needs a new logo, it's TV answer to Morrisons in terms of branding.

I'm sure the font on the logo has been updated at some point, as looking at clips of Eurosport from the 90's, the font appears to be different, although similar.
Personally I quite like the Eurosport logo, although they could consider giving it a slightly more 'glassy' appearance, in accordance with current design styles.
