Looks good. I was never a huge fan of the Eurosport logo, so good to see it changing to a more modern design. I know it's been tweaked slightly on two occasions but it's essentially been the same design since 1994, an eternity these days.
1989 if counting the previous albeit similar logo:

I liked that one a lot more - the ident was quite nice, and no doubt came from the same people who gave us the 1989 Sky idents -of course Eurosport was part owned by Sky at the time.
Meanwhile I notice that the closure period overnight is billed "This is British Eurosport HD" on HD but "This is Eurosport 1" on SD. Seems from tommorow the channel name is Eurosport 1.
With the two versions of the E logo used. That's annoying me - surely they could decide on which one to use before going live with the look - I do prefer the one used on it's own rather than the one with the full Eurosport text.
It may be just a coincidence but I noticed recently that the channel names on the Virgin Media EPG have dropped the 'British'. Previously the full name has been used on the guide for both channels. I noticed this a few weeks ago before any news of the rebrand.
It's unusual for programmes to wrap up and switch to the overnight fillers precisely on midnight, on both channels, this coincidentally happens tonight. Whether by design or not we'll find out then. It'd be interesting if any of our Asian contributors have access to the Eurosport services there, to see if they change earlier than the European channels. ES2 starts tomorrow at 0700, with ES1(British Eurosport) at 0730, so we might have to wait until then.
Looks like it, or it might change at some point in the night. At midnight:
Note it's only the British version that had programmes finishing at midnight, they were at their usual random times on the majority of the other variants according to the Eurosport website.
Edit: Eurosport 2/News goes off air (teleshopping?) at 2am according to TV Player Plus. On the website it shows a new programme at 2am on both channels:
I won't be staying up to find out if anything happens then.
