I hope so. It's like Sky Sports News graphics were explained to the Eurosport graphics department, by drawing it free hand with a crayon and paper..
Ugly, cumbersome, sharp angled boxes with text lines that need 3 or scrolls to complete the headline sentence.
E.g.
Football
'He said that the player..."

I suspect that with the volume of re-runs these last couple of days work behind the scenes is intense.

It's sometimes referred to as Eurosport 1 by commentators, especially when presenting on Eurosport 2, but never visually.
Font looks very similar to UK number plates. Also had the branding "Eurosport 1" ever been used before?

I actually like this logo. It departs from the old 1994 and starts something new. If they are going to make a filler for the channel, just get that old star bumper from 2008 and recreate it.

It's unusual for programmes to wrap up and switch to the overnight fillers precisely on midnight, on both channels, this coincidentally happens tonight. Whether by design or not we'll find out then. It'd be interesting if any of our Asian contributors have access to the Eurosport services there, to see if they change earlier than the European channels. ES2 starts tomorrow at 0700, with ES1(British Eurosport) at 0730, so we might have to wait until then.

OK, granted it's new and we're not used to it but I do think alone the two versions of the E floating around today are not going to be instantly as recogniseable as Eurosport as the one they're currently using as their Twitter avatar.
That looks decidedly uppercase to me!
