Doesn't seem that long since the last relaunch which still feels quite fresh.
I suppose the Eurosport production on screen caption style hasn't dated, but the Lambie-Nairn produced break bumpers are now very tired.
If you watch a fair amount of output like the Winter sport and cycling, then there is only so many times in one day, you can take seeing the bloke that looks like Chris Coleman being stunned by a slow motion CGI car crash..
But more than anything it looks rather 'eighties', if you ask me.
Anything other than bare, flat sans-serif. I've never seen anything so painfully commonplace in graphic design since the late 80s trend of having 3D shapes flying everywhere.
Eurosport has only really had two rebrands in its history through.
And this one wasn't that long ago at all. I'd agree the idents and perhaps graphics need refreshing, but not sure they need to move away from it completely.
From the teasers above sounds like the logo may have been created more with the Twitter logo in mind rather than what appears on screen. Sadly that seems to be the case for most TV presentation of late.
Not quite, the cursive writing's out too. The star on the left forms the middle bar of the E as well, so the E itself basically just consists of two bars. Oh, and the channel's number (in the case of Eurosport 2 at least) is placed in a pinkish red box.
