I've never been able to understand why either broadcaster opts to have a classical theme for their football coverage. I can't think many football fans are into classical music.
Seems to have been the range in the last few tournaments. Although I remember ITV's music for World Cup 1998, I can't remember the name, although I think it was by Apollo 440, I've got the CD somewhere, that was a track to use.

The majority of football fans are not uncultured morons. When the BBC went with Nessun Dorma for Italia 90, that became the best selling classical recording ever.
The Champions League Theme is classical, instantly recognisable, timeless and has been in use for over 16 years.

I don't think M@ was inferring that football fans are uncultured morons.
Having said that, the fact that a minority get totally legless after a major football match and start full scale riots in the streets would give rise to the impression that they are morons. Once they sober up you often find they do appreciate music such as Nessun Dorma.
There doesn't seem much point in the BBC studio team being out there when they're just in a studio which could basically be recreated in London - and especially when the event is split over eight cities in two countries.
You don't get the sense that them being out there is soaking up the atmosphere - that's the role Ray Stubbs is playing in the grounds themselves.

Maybe they will present from the ground at some games?
I'm not sure they'll be able too - with the exception of perhaps the final, from previous tournaments (and similar events like the Rugby World Cup), I think they can only get studio space in the ground if they are the broadcaster of one of the teams playing. I may be completely wrong on that, but that's what I've always assumed.
One option perhaps would be to host from pitch side, but I think from ITV's experiment with putting the pundits pitchside during the Champions League it doesn't really work, and considering the BBC have more time to fill due to the lack of ads I don't think that would be practical.

I like it that the BBC is over in Austria, ok Euro 2008 is in two countries but that shouldn't make any difference.

They where at the games in Germany 2006 for a hand full of the big games not involving England, with the exception of the final.
Have ITV got any interactive service this year on Satellite.
The BBC's is quite disappointing - just the standard sport service with Five Live commentary and highlights - no integrated text service at all, meaning you have to fiddle your way through BBCi to find fixtures and tables etc.
Also what do we think of the graphics this year. Although I think the blue used is better than the standard BBC Sport blue, I don't think it works with the red MOTD graphics at all.
Can't quite make my mind up on the official graphics - on the one hand they look pretty neat, but on the other a bit dated.
