I have to tell you, at first it looked a little bit overkill with two ESPN dogs on screen. Now, there's three (briefly). Why not extend the ticker to the full width of the screen and get rid of the ESPN logo? Also, noticed the many women with EPSN shirts on the grounds, and the huge ESPN blimp.

I'd say you're worrying too much; it's ESPN's first ever PL game - of course it's going to be celebrated!
The ESPN on the scorebar is small and discreet, so it's hardly overkill.
As for the earlier comment, the plan was always to have Ray permanently based at the studio in Chiswick, and Rebecca at the grounds.

I'm not worrying, I'm just commenting about the on-screen logos. They're fine to me, it's just that I thought having at least two ESPN logos on screen looked a bit strange, especially when one of them was bigger than the other, and positioned differently.

Is Ray based in the Sky Sports building?
How does football get filmed, is it actually Sky Sports camera being setup and removed each week from different grounds or are there permanent cameras at all grounds that they just plug into and use?
The graphics all seem clear a simple.

It's the IMG building. If it was Sky, it would have been in HD. Sky were only responsible for the pictures from the ground.
The studio can't handle HD. So all the studio shots, and everything shown during all the bits from the studio (including pictures from the ground, interviews etc) was all in SD.
Then, during the break, ESPN would switch from IMG's studio feed to Sky's match pictures, which were in HD. During this time, if they wanted comments from the pundits in the studio, they had to just drop in the audio, which sounded odd.
The match coverage was pretty good picture quality, but the whole SD/HD thing was a bit weird for those of us used to Sky's way of doing it, where everything from the studio pundits to pre-recorded bits are all in HD.

So ironically Ray is pretty much working in the same place he would be working if he'd stayed at the BBC, as the early reports suggested he's be doing the Football League Show, which also comes from the IMG Studios.
It's a good move for him though - he was moving down the pecking order as far as live football is concerned with the BBC, and now he's covering 23 matches a season (46 this year). He'll lose out on the World Cup of course, though I'm sure ESPN are covering the tournament elsewhere so he could end up involved in coverage outside of the UK.
