ESPN UK - Developed in less than two months

So, so far we know that they have 46 Premier League games in 2009-10, and nothing else. They also have secured marketing by Sky and access to that platform. They are involved in discussions for carriage elsewhere too.

Rumours surround the SPL and they have said they want to seek other rights as well.

The Premier League kicks off on 15th August and they'll need to be up and running by then

As and when developments occur post them in this thread and we'll see if they succeed in getting to Air on time.

One can only hope they don't ring Discovery for advice...

Ignoring the horrific use of different tenses in that sentence, the SPL starts the same day as the EPL, August 15th.

ESPN America is NOW on DTT channel 34.

It's only The Championship and the Football League that start earlier, which this year will be August 8th, the same day Soccer Saturday returns.

It's good to see ESPN getting their channel sorted, even if it's just for the Premier League for now.

ESPN America appears to be free on Sky as well.

It appears that it is available free on DTT to previously subscribing Setanta Sports Subscribers regardless of which service provider they used(*), providing of course they continue to use their smart card.

well here's a surprise, hopefully I'll get the source confirmed soon but I've been hearing that ESPN Don't have the right's for the SPL next Season.

God, I usually hate the grammar police but I have to plead guilty on that one. I think changing "started" to "starts2 should solve it.
