It appears that Flog It is currently on BBC One [HD] and BBC HD. The same episode. What is the point of this?

It is this episode. It is not quite in sync, BBC HD is about 30 seconds ahead of BBC One.

I'm guessing it's just an oversight.

It's the same situation tomorrow, when this episode is due to be shown.

Surely the same programme shouldn't be shown on two BBC channels at the same time, let alone the same episode.

Maybe, thinking outside the box, by scheduling the same programme, it allows the BBC HD transmissions to be sourced from the BBC One HD suite, and allows them to test stuff during the day for the BBC Two HD launch?

I suspect they would be able to take the HD continuity suite out of the circuit while the preview loop is on by patching whatever produces that directly to air.

Interesting theory, although I don't think this is the case as BBC One [HD] and BBC HD were about 30 seconds out of sync (with BBC HD being ahead) and they both had different continuity annoucners at the end, BBC One [HD] also shrunk the credits.

Anyway, you would hope they would do this kind of testing overnight or when BBC HD isn't broadcasting, which is most of the day.
