why do some programmes on BBCi have the EPG and announcer over the end credits like they did when broardcast (have I got news for you for example) when others don't (last night's top gear)

and why does the new topic page say you must specify a 'subject when it says 'title' and 'description' ?

1. do you mean iplayer?

2. probably an oversight when the page was revamped and what was written in another language file wasn't changed

You mean why do some programmes on iPlayer have an ECP and announcer?

Presumably because Have I Got News For You is a very late delivery to the BBC/Red Bee so they don't have any time to make a copy available for the iPlayer. Therefore the copy you see is taken from when it went out on air. When I worked in that sort of thing HIGNFY used to turn up anything up to 15 minutes before broadcast.

Something like Top Gear would be ready to broadcast days in advance so it can be loaded onto the system in advance

thanks for that answer, just rather curious as most things don't have the epg so you get a change to hear the music and read the credits

Actually it didn't turn up on iPlayer until midnight. I know cos I stayed up waiting for it, having been out at 8pm.
