Anyone else watch this - what did you think?

It's been pretty hyped up as one of the best US shows in a while (though it's had 3 series already in the US) - possibly overhyped actually.

I thought it was good - but not that good if you know what I mean. It has potential though and as it's from HBO, it should be worth a chance.

Even though it's been hyped up, I still forgot about it, and I saw it trailed god knows how many times last night.

Is it repeated at any point?

Whats this series about? Will ITV1 be showing it at all?

It's about a hollywood actor, Vince somebody who is just starting to make it big, and his 'Entourage', the people he surrounds himself with. It's kind of like Sex in the City with blokes.

The first episodes were kind of interesting, although very little actually happened, much like their lifestyles I suppose. They went to parties, spent money, swore and flirted with women lots. (Just like your average TV Forumer)

Also unusually it's a half hour drama, I take it HBO don't take adverts ?

Thanks - i'll try and watch the repeat.

Considering the hype, it rated pretty poorly on Sunday night with 168,000 for episode 1, and just 95,000 for episode 2.

Correct, HBO is subscription funded, hence why programmes like Sex & The City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Extras (HBO takes 50% credit there) are all 28-30 minutes long rather than the Commercial TV standard of 22 minutes.

I saw a trailer of this when I went the Cinema the other week, and to be honest it looked more like a Film, not a programme for ITV2 I had to say. (The amount of ITV trailers at Cinemas that carry Carlton Screen Advertising is on the increase)

I enjoyed it, although it paints a pretty awful picture of life in the industry over the pond.

The central character isn't the star, and in fact is so limp you want to smack him in the face. Well I do anyway.

I'll keep watching.
