ITV1 are showing the England rugby team's victory parade live on Monday in a special programme from 11.55am.

This means the ITV Lunchtime News will now be at 1.30pm and there's no Des and Mel until Tuesday.

I wonder if Nick Owen will be doing hilarious commentary as per previous events

Well if its Nick Owen, and I was at home, I know who I'd be watching. But I'd of thought ITV would stick Jim Rosenthal on - until I saw that it will be simulcast on the ITVNC as well.

Yes, both the BBC and ITV are showing it across the UK. Very Happy

Interesting that it's BBC Events that are producing the BBC coverage (rather than say BBC News for the Bush visit to London).

Shame I can't see it, but I'll be videoing the ITV coverage of this event. I hope Nick Owen has something to do with it, and I will be videoing ITV's coverage because they provided the Rugby World Cup and I don't want to have anything to do with the BBC's coverage as they can't seem to provide coverage of England winning World championships.

How typical - all you can do seemingly is have a pop at the BBC. FYI BBC Events is often MUCH better at covering these sorts of things than the opposition, indeed, the only GOOD thing there will probably be about ITV's coverage of the Victory Parade will be Nicholas Owen's role (if he has one).

What exactly do you mean, that "they can't seem to provide coverage of England winning World championships"?

That the BBC didnt acually pay for the rights to show the tournament live but are happy to show the parade to cash in on the success?

ITV News are flagging it up by saying that ITV1 is the only place where you will also see clips of the final during the show
