Well it does make sense, they still get around the same volume of calls while giving away less money, its a pure business move and a smart one at that.

yeah thats what I was thinking... They slowly lowered the prize until they got what they thought was a decent balance between prize and calls and left it at that. I doubt its because they are having budget cuts.
Last time I had a flick around a Sky box late at night there were only 2 channels showing quiz programmes compared with virtually every tinpot channel 6 months ago.

So good to see their decline
With the exception of Smile TV and Ftn between 12.00am and 3.00am it seems to have gone from Freeview, but saying that Ftn's thing isn't that much of a phone in quiz like it once was, thank heaven.
The Hits' Budapest rip off thing looked very shoddy, I was rather surprised it wasn't taken off sooner.
Could be quite a clever move this actually.
If you see £30,000 prizes offered, you're likely to think 'Hm, lots of people will be calling in, i'll leave it'.
For £20-£100 though, you're less likely to think this. So they generate more calls for offerring lower prizes every now-and-again.
Either that or i'm reading to much of it and no-one wants to play any more (hope so!)
