Brilliant if it's true, explains why it hasn't been on Paramount for a while now.

Oh I really hope so. At least they will be putting it on at a better time than when BBC2 used to put it on at 00:05

Well, today's the day! FTN closes down tonight! Crying or Very sad Wonder whether there'll be any special announcements or graphics to mark this occasion or will it just be the usual recorded continuity from weeks gone by??

I think we'll still have the out dated pre-recorded continuity announcements tonight! Laughing

If it's anything like the way Disney treated abc1's closure then don't expect anything special. I notice that the last proper programme is at 23:40 so I'm recording that on Sky. After that it's gameshows. Does it finish at midnight on Freeview?

It normally shuts down at 6am on Freeview, when it makes the switch to UKTV BI. Since there are multiplex changes afoot, things may happen differently.

According to the Radio times it is shutting down at 5am, but then it could have an hour of teleshopping. There is no information about there being any multiplex changes yet, it is just assumed that there will be due to abc1 closing on wednesday. If any were to take place, i would imagine that they would take place at 6pm tomorrow evening, don't forget there is a 3 hour countdown from handover from brightideas to virgin 1.

Are people assuming UKTV BI (soon to be UKTV History) us moving to ABC1's space on Mux A, allowing Virgin 1 to air 24 hours a day?

(UKTV History's current space will then become "Dave" later this month)

Has this been confirmed at all - I don't know either way, but I thought Virgin 1 just had the 6pm-6am slot.

It's annoying though that Freeview can't co-ordinate these changes. ABC1 going, the launch of Virgin 1 and the switching of BBC Radio stations means three retunes in the space of a week - and when you add the launch of Nuts TV and Dave to the equation, that's 5 or 6 retunes in little more than a month.

Yeah you have to wonder how many people are missing channels thanks to these unpublicised changes and the amount of poorly programmed boxes that don't (or can't) auto-rescan in standby.

And FTN finishes the night with...yes..its...Roulette.

Oh well.

Ken Dodd on 321 earlier pretty much closed the channel for me anyway Laughing

Bye bye FTN.

Not entirely they have Incredible Edible Challenge at 4.55am and then the usual Teleshopping from 5.00am.

Won't be sad to see Ftn go, it's only main use has been for showing the old Gameshows that Challenge have had for years now. But saying that other than Seinfeld there's not much on Virgin 1 that I really want to watch.

So did they do anything? After the gameTV trash just disappeared into telemarketing?

Shame.
