The END of Ftn!

The only time I've watched FTN is when Bullseye is on or if they've got Gladiators on for my mates friends.

I miss FTN as it was in 2003 when I'd just gotten digital TV for the first time, but I'll put that down to the whole experience being a novelty. It was my most watched channel for quite a while, but it's been completely missable for most of its life.

I never really watched FTN in the past, i only started watching it when they started to show Bullseye and Krypton Factor at the beginning of the year.

Only very rarely have I ever watched Ftn. This year I only really watched (start to finish) one edition of The Krypton Factor back in April. Late August I saw a bit of an edition of 3-2-1, but that was only whilst channel hopping, and waiting for what I really wanted to see start on another channel.

FTN gonig I will not miss it. As I do not watch it.

Me too. Like I said in my last note, I've only very occasionally watched something on Ftn in five years, so I won't miss Ftn. I wonder what its successor Virgin One will be like?

Will there be a farewell ceremony for Ftn at the end of its final day? Likewise will Virgin One have an opening ceremony at the start of its first day? I'd love to know, as if presentation is shown during those ceremonies, it'll be worth recording for my TV ident collection.

SKY have a BIG OPENING show on the then SKY channel.
Virgin 1 should be good Star Trek, Boston legal,Criminal Minds. Knight Rider,The Sarah Connor Chronicles,Blade: The Series,It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,Justice,The Fresh Prince of Bel Air,

Back in the 80s and 90s, tv stations starting up on sat/cable had grand affairs. UK Gold for example which launched Nov 1992 had the first continuity announcement of "Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to the launch of UK Gold. Which tonight November 1st now goes live"

Sounds very proper rather than these days which launch straight into ident then straight into a programme.
