1989!? Why not show us the 1993 or 1995 series? Laughing

Just recieved this response from Ftn:

Ftn posted:
Dear Rob,

Thanks for your e-mail. We have to apply for each series of The Krypton Factor on an individual basis, so it may be that we have not gained the rights to the 1993 and 1995 series as of yet. I will pass your suggestion for these two series of The Krypton Factor to the correct people. Please keep an eye on the channel and listings for any news.

Best wishes,

Ftn

Didn't The Krypton Factor end in 1993?

There was a 1993 series, and a 1995 series co-hosted by Penny Smith, which was so terrible because it was totally revamped. The series was axed quickly after that.

I don't believe Flextech (as a whole, not just Challenge) have ever had the rights to 1995 Krypton because its not "the" Krypton everybody remembers. And as previously stated anyway, it was crap and ultimately turned out to be the last series. According to the Wiki Challenge have shown Krypton 1993 at some point over the last eight years but whether its a unique deal to Challenge only that Ftn can't have (they have the same agreement for Blockbusters) is anybody's guess.

Tell me I didn't just see 1987 Krypton Factor again? And there was all these people saying that the licence had expired! I bet the plan is probably reverse series...

Additional: This will be (for now) the LAST Krypton Factor series on Ftn... From September 13th, they will be showing another of those great quiz show relics...

William G. Stewart... and FIFTEEN to ONE!

It will probably be the 2003 series that Challenge were showing not too long ago.

The novelty with Fifteen To One wared out pretty quickly IMO, it just seemed rather slow, although William G.Stewart is excellent, the show was rather dull.

We can all witness Marian Chanter falling off the aerial slide again.

Whatever happened to Marian Chanter and this career in television she had somehow carved out for herself according to Krypton 1988? According to IMDB and Google, there's no mention of anything else she's done in the last 20yrs apart from Krypton and some obscure show from 1988. But apparently she's a vegetarian according to Google.

All change at Fort Boyard next week!

Apparently, Melinda Messenger is presenting tomorrow (Sun 16th Sept) according to TV guides and FTN listings.

But next week, Tim Vine's 10 part documentary series about the show hits FTN! Never shown before on Freeview, this series contains funny interviews with the characters from international versions of the show and some of the facts about how it is made.

Should be good! Shame Melinda is only around for 1 showing tomorrow though! Crying or Very sad
