Was it me or did FTN re-wind back to the beginning of series 11 of Bullseye on the second showing this evening?

Yep, they did indeed. Don't know why that happened.

Krypton Factor 1988 now showing. Got several videos of the 87 final last night, will upload them to youtube shortly.

As promised...

Don't tell me its the Jodie Penfold, Chris Ellison Fort Boyard repeated YET again?

It is.

To answer the other poster, I believe there are about 60 episodes in all, including the original four series run on Five so I suppose there's about 15-20 Challenge episodes.

Oh joy. Rolling Eyes What with this, repeats of Colin Fry and Most Haunted Live and Poker taking up the rest of the evening..FTN is just going back on itself once again.

I wouldn't say it's completely going back to its old self. At least it has one or two decent programmes airing in the first couple of hours of broadcast each night. However, I'm getting bored of seeing the first four series of Gladiators constantly - the later series deserve to be shown at least once. Even if it is to complete my DVD collection!

I think the reason why FTN has changed a bit this week is because the FTN Scheduler has left and LIVING have taken over the channel until the launch of Virgin 1 in September (all info from Challenge forums).

It's such a shame that FTN aren't showing series 5 and 6 of The Crystal Maze with Ed and are, instead, repeating Fort Boyard again!

I was thinking about how the FTN Schedule could be improved and came up with this:

1800: The Crystal Maze (series' 5 &6) [CHALLENGE]
1900: The Jerry Springer Show [LIVING]
1930: Dog the bounty Hunter [BRAVO]
2000: Gladiators (series 5+) [CHALLENGE]
2100: [DRAMA/COMEDY FROM LIVING TV] (varies each day)
2200: Classic Millionaire [CHALLENGE]
2300: Britains next top model [LIVING]
0000: Street Crime UK 4 [BRAVO]
0030: Distraction US [CHALLENGE]
0100: The Jerry Springer Show (rpt)
0130: Dog the bounty Hunter (rpt)
0200 The Crystal Maze (rpt)
0255: BRitains next top model (rpt)
0350: Gladiators (rpt)
0445: Street Crime UK 4 (rpt)
0510: Classic Millionaire (rpt)
0600: CLOSE

Considering the days of FTN are numbered, I think that they should really push the boat out and create a schedule like this untill their end in september and see how much their ratings would rise. What's anyone else think?

I shouldn't think that'll happen, they'll just be repeating what they've shown already. Or fill most of the Summer up with Grub Smith.

Nah, they'll go for a naff schedule so that Virgin 1 looks even more attractive when it launches.

Yeah, I was hoping for it to be the Melinda ones as I had been requesting for many months but it wasn't to be. I'm hopefully getting Sky at the end of July so hopefully I'll see them on Challenge sometime.

The thing with Ftn is its only supposed to be a teaser channel for the rest of the Virgin channels. If the channel is "too good" schedule-wise, nobody would bother subscribing to Virgin TV for Challenge, Bravo and Living, they'd watch the lot on Freeview. On the other hand, if the channel is too crap, nobody's going to watch it (see schedule up until last Christmas).

Once Virgin 1 launches, it'll probably show a whole bunch of hand-me-downs like Ftn already does. Sky Three is the best example of hand-me-down programming you can see as everything it shows has been on Sky One, plus it spends most of its time showing nothing of any great interest.

Takeshi's Castle has replaced Bullseye tonight.

I would watch Ftn just for Takeshi's Castle Very Happy

I have been really enjoying the repeats of FORT BOYARD over the past week, which are still continuing every night at 6pm! Some of the games are amazing and put IACGMOOH and The Crystal Maze to shame in my opinion. I would be great if they remade this show again, if The Crystal Maze never materializes. The show has run in many countries in several year blocks - so it may be that we haven't seen the last of this show!

If Challenge TV can can make a sterling production on the cheap, then surely Five or Channel 4 can put out a few series and not ruin the bank balance - it's not as if the set costs a lot to construct - it's already there on the West coast of France!

Surely a comeback must be on the cards? Confused:
