It would be a shame if this news becomes a reality. We have got enough US programming over here on channels at the moment, such as Channel 4 and Five US and on Five. Why would we want more? Surely, I would prefer Ftn to remain as it is, or be given a makeover but with the same type of shows as is now.

The voice-overs are wrong. The first episode of Series 4 of Gladiators (started Monday just gone) was flagged as a quarter-final by the announcer. Its probably airing all those International Gladiators episodes and the specials from the back-end of Series 3 that have screwed up the CA running order. But then this is no surprise as they can't even set the right timings for the pre-recorded announcements - apparently we were watching "Crystal Mu" tonight.

Hi there,
I'm Jin666 from those Challenge forums someone referred to above. It's been very disappointing, we had been waiting around a month for the 'FTN Guru' to come on, eventually after I got a bit angry he finally showed up, made 2 posts and hasn't been seen again. I myself am worried that the Virgin 1 makeover will lead to a lose of the good Challenge content. Hopefully not but you never know with these people

Welcome to this LONG thread discussing FTN's programmes and presentation! I hope FTN's current programmes are not withdrawn once Virgin 1 begins - it would be such a shame. It has been discussed there will be more US programmes on the channel which I think is a bad thing!
I notice in the Challenge forum, that it says that this rebrand wil probably happen in the Autumn. I thought plans had not been finalised yet and it could be sometime before Virgin One hits the screens...if at all? Now it seems all the more likely...shame...
Hope Ed might pop up with The Crystal Maze on Freeview before FTN hits the dust if it does...

Looks like tonight's Crystal Maze is going to be on at 7.00pm instead of 6.00pm - this is maybe because Challenge is showing The Crystal Maze at 6pm and they do not want any overlap.
Was FTN prepared for this alteration thought? The TV listings say The Maze is on at 6pm. There was no continuity announcer into Gladiators at 6pm - the computerised system cannot handle late changes like this I suppose?
