Talking Crystal Maze, Chatsworth TV have sold the rights to make the programme to Dynamo Games - whoever they are.
Unfortunately, at the moment they're only planning a mobile phone game - but perhaps this might be the first step towards it being resurrected.

Surely, now is the time to bring The Crystal Maze back? Looking at the last 40 pages of this discussion thread, The Crystal Maze has been mentionned so many more times compared with other shows on FTN such as Catchphrase with Nick Weir and Gladiators. Interest for this show is still rife 12 years after it finished and surely a TV company would be wise to bring it back?
Or at least FTN showing Ed's episodes and all the children's Xmas specials on FTN on Freeview to viewers who may not have seen this classic show before?

I'm sure people would like to see it back, but AIUI it's far too expensive, even when it came to air first time round apparently the set cost Channel 4 more than £1 Million back then, it would only be feasable if it was a co-production between a terrestrial broadcaster and possibly a channel like Challenge, which has been mooted previously.

Do you think a series of The Crystal Maze would cost more than a series of Doctor Who for example nwtv2003?

Alright then probably not, but Dr Who is a popular Drama that can generate alot of commercial value such as Repeats, International sales, Merchandising and what have you. Where as Gameshow although it's cheaper per hour than a Drama, it has alot less return, maybe some repeats on Challenge or Ftn, an interactive DVD or a Board game.
If you had the right people behind it I'm sure it's worth a stab at, but it's a very high risk especially for a commercial broadcaster.

Is this where they filmed The Crystal Maze - Aces High Studio - here's the postcode CM16 6AA - take a look on Google Earth! That massive aircart hangar by that car park? But even that does not seem big enough for The Crystal Maze? And it is not rectangular either?? Hhmmm...questions questions!!
Is it Channel 4's 25th year this year then? When do they aim to start celebrating this fact???
