I would have probably thought that Ftn might show Catchphrase right from where it began back in 1986 but I also have this feeling that they might just start from 1994.

"Well that's it for the FTN repeats for the time being guys.

However, I do have some great news to share with you all.

I can confirm Gladiators is just having a short break and will continue its run on FTN from Monday 7th May at the usual time. (7pm) "

So either they're just seeing how Catchphrase goes for a short while or are getting rid of one of their other shows

Hopefully, they will pick up from where they left off, in which case, that will the start of the 1994 series. If they went back to the start, it would be a waste of time.

Is that the Channel 5 version (with Melinda Messenger) or the Challenge version (with Tom Baker in the Watchtower)?

I've seen enough of Jodie Penfold and her dwarfs to make me go insane.

Balls wasted opportunity to show Roy Walker episodes there

My exact thoughts when the announcer spoke where

"Now Catchphrase where Roy Walker (Yes Very Happy ) hands the reins over to Nick Wier (B*ll*cks Evil or Very Mad )

What a load of b*******! Nick Weir episodes!?!? Come on FTN - you must be having a laugh!!! Why can't you put on the classic editions with Roy Walker for which the programme is remembered - not the naff ones with Nick "I've broken my leg" Weir?

Come on - surely FTN can do better than this???

Agreed. When I saw him tw*ting around on the stage because of his broken leg I had to turn the channel over, even the voiceover at the beginning is annoying.

I can understand them possibly having legal problems with the early episodes from 1985-1992 when TVS (?) use to make the programme but surely they wouldn't have any problems with the Action Time/Central/Carlton episodes?

Why would they have problems with the TVS episodes? Confused:
