I notice on the latest release of FTN listings for the coming weeks, the front page features a big picture of Roy Walker standing in front of the Catchphrase screen - advertising the fact that Catchphrase starts on FTN from Friday 20th April at 7pm and 7.30pm weekdays.

Arrow Then on the actual listings below, it says that Nick Weir will be presenting!?!? Confused: Confused:

I guess this is a cock up on FTN's part and Roy Walker will indeed present the show. It will be a major diappointment if he doesn't seeing as they feature his picture.

Also, I just noticed on an FTN trailer, that THIS SAT and SUN at 6pm and 6.30pm, there will be ALL NEW Dave Spikey's Bullseye!!! Woo hoo!!! Again, it says on the listings that Jim Bowen will feature??

Surely, some confusion here? Rolling Eyes

Their Gladiators listings have been saying Ulrik-ka-ka (no idea how to spell her name) and Jeremy Guscott since Gladiators turned up on FTN - despite the fact that they're nowhere near the point where John Fashnu was sacked yet and won't be for ages.

I never knew he was sacked, what was he sacked for?

In the mid 1990s, John Fashanu was caught up in the match fixing scandal involving Bruce Grobbelaar, himself and then Wimbledon goalkeeper Hans Segers. Although all three were acquitted of the match fixing allegations because the jury couldn't come to a decision, it was decided at the time that in light of the events, Fashanu's position as host of a major sports based TV show was untenable.

I've yet to see Dave Spikey's Bullseye but I can imagine it is one big skit on the original show.

What with Catchphrase, Gladiators.... they should dig out You Bet! sometime - incidently that had a similar theme tune beat to Gladiators.

On a not entirely unrelated subject, I can't help noticing that certain aspects of the FTN website need updating . . .

The "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" hasn't been on FTN for at least three years now.

It's barely on CNBC now. The one hour show which has been edited down to 45 minutes to get rid of adverts etc is now just 30 minutes.

Well, tonight's voiceovers point towards Bullseye being shown at 6pm tomorrow with Jim Bowen. Every programme trailer for Bullseye seems to be featuring Dave Spikey. Therefore it would appear that they don't know what they're going to be showing, except that its an episode of Bullseye that's either 18 months or 18 years old.

On the plus side though - For the week ending March 25th, Ftn's average audience share is now 0.4%. Compared to (pick random week) 16th October 2005 - 0.1%.

My money is on New Bullseye at 6pm, Old Bullseye at 6.30. The annos still appear to be pre-recorded despite there being new ones every day, so they could have played the wrong one by accident. Whereas the trailer for New Bullseye will have been made and scheduled specifically.

The trailers mention 'All new' Bullseye - Considering Bullseye has been on FTN for a few months now it wouldn't be 'All new' unless it was Dave Spikey.

Will FTN show the missing episodes of Krypton they missed last week or will be on the 1991 series tonight?

Well, the first bit of Bully tonight is Jim Bowen era. Guess I gave them too much credit!

It looks like that tonights Krypton episodes were the ones they missed last week.

I also saw an advert for Bullseye advertising the Dave Spikey version saying "All new Bullseye" perhaps they're going to show Dave Spikey's episodes after series 10 of the Bowen episodes?
