Tony Robinson doing The Crystal Maze??? Come on...give me a break!!! He would be useless. I wouldn't watch it if he was presenting it.

Dunno - Tony Robinson presenting in a character not dissimilar to the Sheriff from Maid Marian might work.

The only other potential host I can think of is Robert Llewelyn (Scrapheap, Red Dwarf). All C4 names - so come on C4, build another Crystal Maze!

( Of course though it probably get a 21st century makeover with the contestants living in each zone for a week and being filmed 24/7, with one person voted out of each zone before moving on to the next! Laughing )

Oh yes he would be quite good, although he might overplay it slightly? Then again there could be countless actors who would do a good job at presenting, you have to bear in mind that it is a part to play not a thing to present.

Talking of Tony Robinson, they did that fantastic episode of Maid Marion spoofing the Crystal Maze, how about getting that guy who played Robin Hood to do it? Laughing

What about Jimmy Carr's Crystal Maze? Confused:

I could imagine Richard E Grant doing it - forgot of course it need to be someone with three parts to their name!

At the risk of inciting a barrel of sexism, do we think there are any women out there who could do it?
PT
Put The Telly On
Amanda Barrie?
Lesley Joseph?

No, ok, there really aren't any women who could do it..

Good stuff, but will they show more than the few series Challenge do?

I want to see early and late era Krypton, which they never show.

I wouldn't mind either, Challenge only ever showed Series from 1989 to 1992, it would have been nice if we saw a pre-1989 series or even the 1995 version which was more like The Crystal Maze, that series was crap, but I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Did you know Ed Tudor Pole is a very distant relation of King Henry VIII? True.

Crystal Maze ran for 80 episodes between 1990 and 1995, therefore there are no episodes before 1989 to show.

Challenge have aired the Ed Tutor-Pole episodes (copiously, in fact up until last year), but the rights to these have since expired. According to Wiki, there are plans to buy them back up again, possibly because of this news of actually putting something decent on Ftn next year.

I was referring to Krypton, I bet Challenge have shown every episode of The Crystal Maze over and over by now, it's been regular on the channel since the late 1990's.
