There's no backing noise full stop, never mind who's talking. Crank the volume up high enough during the silent bits and all you'll hear is the odd chair creaking, maybe the odd unfiltered production crew moving around and a lot of (heavily filtered) white noise.
Look at the mental agility round, the intelligence round and the general knowledge round on Krypton. No background noise at all, not even a "ticking" clock save for when it ran out. Things change a lot in 20yrs.
