The END of Ftn!

There's no backing noise full stop, never mind who's talking. Crank the volume up high enough during the silent bits and all you'll hear is the odd chair creaking, maybe the odd unfiltered production crew moving around and a lot of (heavily filtered) white noise.

Look at the mental agility round, the intelligence round and the general knowledge round on Krypton. No background noise at all, not even a "ticking" clock save for when it ran out. Things change a lot in 20yrs.

Ftn is now listing Big Game TV from 12am to 3am but currently its Women's Poker so I take it BGTV starts from tomorrow.

I couldn't help laugh at Gordon saying Merry Christmas at the end of last night's group D final. The grand final is next Saturday so will the second episode next Saturday be a new series?

Knowing FTN they'll probably rerun the series we've just seen. Its 1987 all over again.

When Andy Crane was doing live continuity on Challenge and they used to show Christmas episodes of something like Family Fortunes in the middle of March, he would put Christmas decorations up for the links. "If Les Dennis can celebrate Christmas in March, why can't we?"

Old habits die hard!! Less than a month of having decent programmes and Ftn has to resort back to quiz programmes! Before you know it, the schedule will be made up of Thomas Cook TV for 3 hours, than 3 hours of Tellyshopping and then quiz c**p all night!


Also Living tv2 has 'Big Game Con' on from 1am till 4am nightly now!

Agreed. I'm a guilty viewer to Big Game TV as I used to watch when it filled the ITV2/3 late night slot back in 2004. Little did I know about the whole "phenonenom" then. Nowadays I couldn't give to hoots - along with the others, its Big Game Conathon.

Digiguide agrees - same time has Hollyoaks on E4, so I guess I'll have to rejig my early evening viewing!


And regardless of Hollyoaks, a stupid move actually - people are far more likely to give up the news to watch it than to give up their soaps!


I assume they are moving on to series 3 and 4 and not going back to the beginning, which wouldn't surprise me!

That's good if it is coming back in a week's time - but will it be series 3 or will it just be series 1 and 2 again???

And what about the Xmas Specials??? They are going to be shown on Challenge next week apparently. Anyone know how I would be able to see these without having a Sky subscription??? I would love to see the 1st 2 specials which I never seen before!!!

FTN is now displaying an animated outline of the Virgin Media logo as a breakbumper. Indication of a new look ahead?
