That's bizzarre... why would Granada run a seemingly expensive show like Krypton Factor without getting
any ad revenue? Unless the show on after it was always a sure fire way to keep the same viewers on.

The Krypton Factor used to be on Mondays at 7:00pm, immediately before a certain Salford based soap opera . . .

Notice the condensation on Richard's breath at the start, must be cold in that hangar...

Also loving the use of Quasar technology in the first game Cool

Back then viewers didn't switch around the channels between programmes as much as they do today. Revenue from before and after the programme would be sufficient

That makes sense to me. Come to think of it I was only 3 or 4 when it was originally shown, I doubt I spent much time analysing the sequence of ad breaks Laughing Although I was always excited at the presence of spangly 3d graphics... once a pres fan always a pres fan eh?

Back to The Crystal Maze - how pointless was the gold/silver graphic at the end? I'm guessing it didn't last long as I don't really remember it!

It only appeared during series 2, I guess they decided that it didn't really work.

Have they worked out the Crystal Maze repeats schedule yet?

As I missed it today due to the bad weather Sad

Only lasted one series and it wasn't really accurate anyway, considering all the contestants got at least two goes in the dome in order to get all the camera shots.

Anyway there's a certain amount of pleasure a viewer has to take when you watch shows like this. You learn at the beginning what Bob does for a living (16yrs ago anyway), then watch him play a game that's to all intents and purposes a cut-down version of what he does at work, yet fail miserably at it. Oooh! I see www.ftn.tv has been taken offline for maintenance! Unavoidable maintenance at that! As I see it, they wouldn't want to maintain the old site (god, who would). I'm smelling a new site!

The improvement is short lived, apparently Big Game TV will be on FTN from Monday.

I've only been watching from 6-8pm anyhow, but it's still disappointing.

I'm not being funny, but taking a quick look on that Forum and can't believe that people are excited that BGTV is coming to Freeview, what's so special about it, Quizmania was special, but I know of no other phone in show that is special really. A shame considering the vast improvement of Ftn's programme quality of late.
