What an interesting way to start a show! Carol Voderman, very proud to be broadcasting from Yorkshire mentioned the control room a couple of times and we actually saw a view of Yorkshire Television's gallery (would the Emmerdale tape really have been played out from there?) and a nice VT clock on the big screen as they did a countdown.

And did anyone hear Dan's great continuity at the end of Neigbours today?

'And Natalie Imbruglia is coming up on TOTP2 over on BBC Two shortly. Now, she was going out with Brad, brother of Gabby who was daughter of Pam and Doug Willis. Ahem, anyway....'

Nice to see he knows his history Smile

At last the first legitimate time that a programme clock has been shown in wales.
Weve seen the programme clocks so many times before it was getting boring!

Not been watching, so is Carol with this new Soapstars family then? Like Davina did with Hear'say when they went to No1?

And was it really just the gallery for the studio they were in?

That set looks like it didn't have much work put on it!

I am avoiding this programme like the Black Death.

Anything with Voderman in is about tempting as Fred Elliot in swimming trunks.

However, I did see Christine Talbot skip 'next door' to the Calendar studios - managed to lose her poppy on the way - and have a chat to this new family of Emmerdale's. Square Eyes, you're right, Talbot's not a slapper after all. Good fashion sense too.

Richard Whiteley always seems thrilled to be working at the 'Yorkshire Television studios in Leeds.'

To mark this historic triumph in Leeds' broadcasting history, here are some lovely snaps of Yorkshire's studios being built, with the launch of Yorkshire and a lovely shot of those cheery Yorkshire folk on the grass. Don't say I never give you anything.

I expected them to do a 'CITV' with tonight's credits, but thankfully they didn't, and showed them in full.

Ahh yes, well, they've got the End Credit Promo slot on the left for that now!

In the Anglia region we missed the last few seconds of the credits. Shame as I was looking forward to seeing 'A Granada Production for Yorkshire Television'!?!Confused

Yes I think everyone missed the end off.

Was the trailer for the book, voiced locally? or across the network by the YTV announcer?

You won't see the purple slide at the end of an Emmerdale episode, it's only ever been seen after Heartbeat.

Emmerdale is played out from YTV, then sent to LNN, then to the regions.
