In last nights Christmas episode we saw the 'surprise' return of Debbie Dingle after over a year away. Also Ryan and Zak both appeared on video call.

I never really understand soaps obsession with weddings on Christmas Day. Why would anyone. But in a strange way it worked in last nights episode. And Paddy is now a Dingle along with what feels like half the cast!

Yes, never known anyone get married at Christmas. Or outside of Spring/Summer for that matter.

I've known people get married in winter as it can be less expensive for the reception etc out of the Spring/Summer peak but never on Christmas Day!!

Am i right in thinking that classic coronation street and classic emmerdale are on the same months but in different years now?

Not quite, Corrie is June 1997, Emmerdale is May 1998.

When the Emmerdale repeats get to the point it went 5 days a week in Autumn 2000 and then 6 in 2003 Corrie will have a chance to catch up although Corrie themselves went to 5 episodes a week around 2002/2003.

A crew member, not identified, has died. They stopped filming yesterday as a mark of respect.
