Some very fake looking fog at the end of tonight's episode! But that aside, been some VERY good cinematography this week, the show's looked very good, well above what you'd expect for a soap. Very rare you see those sort of techniques used without a film effect on the picture, and it just really proves that it works and "video look" drama doesn't have to look "cheap and nasty" or "like a 70s doctor who" (as people often say).

All in aid for the "Best Soap" votes at the NTA awards
I did snigger at Charity's suggestion that the recently engaged Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden should take the married combined surname of 'Suggle'.

(I'm easily amused)
Intersting tonight how they filmed some bits in Esholt- the 1976-97 Emmerdale village, to indicate Ashley's dementia and the place not looking familar to him. I presume the pub we saw him in was the interior of the pub in Esholt too?
Utterly genius move I thought- Almost, but not quite right! Different camera shots of the Vicarage, bizarre ornaments and furniture, and a man doing a brilliant impression of Duncan Preston.
