How do they do that panning effect, where it transitions to different scenes/through walls like in the new titles?

That arrangement is truly bizarre.

Why on earth did they think it necessary to add the very obvious CGI hills? I've seen glass paintings in 1930s films that were more realistic; besides, are these hills supposed to have suddenly been thrown up by some sort of volcanic action since last week?

So the idea behind the titles are fine - and the visuals are *alright* if a bit underwhelming. The theme itself doesn't particularly offend me apart from the naff synthy end and that point around 9s-11s (in the video linked earlier) which just sounds all wrong.

I think they were really well done, the new theme is great, holds a lot more drama than Corrie's new one

That video is actually in 1080 high definition too.

IMO - I quite like them, I think it's another case of taking time to get used to them, overall the logo really modernizes the show Smile

I think the pink shoes and the land rover in the titles present a glamourous and upmarket feel

The hills in the intro were added one. There is a link above to a version without them, but in the last hour or so it has been removed.

With the music, I can't seem to pin-point a standard time signature to it. It's a much more modern composition compared to the previous, standard 4/4 time signature.

The theme is still technically in 4/4. it's just that they've added an extra two bars to each phrase, and straddled each phrase across the barline. Completely inept composition from some idiot trying to be trendy.

Where's Bill Bailey when you need him?
