New Titles (May 2011)

It's nice to see both Corrie and Emmerdale with, if you like, "proper" title sequences. It looks like they've gone down the Corrie approach mixing a modern style with the classic look of Emmerdale, and from the images above it seems to work.

The end shot of the titles, just like Coronation Street's, is very nice looking. A big improvement on the rather fragmented style of the past.

I really like the look of them, and I agree about them being proper title sequences, the old ones just looked like part of the episode, only set apart by the text and music

A collection of new logos have been created in order to reflect "different facets of the village" while the well-known Emmerdale theme music has been refreshed with a modernised new orchestra recording.

Emmerdale's revamp was masterminded by branding agency Lambie-Nairn, who were commissioned by ITV Creative for the project.

Yeah brass and stone versions apparently - will be intresting to see how they turn out on screen.

What an absolutely awful arrangement. Sounded like it was done on a Casio and there was a huge chunk just cut near the end.

The music sounded like the dodgy version they use on the soap awards and the start just looked like an advert for a Jeep. Absolutely terrible.

The titles are amazing - really like the visuals.

But the music? Very, very average... Rolling Eyes
