Are we going to see a preview of the new opening titles today?

Very different. Totally not what I expeteced logo wise. Not sure if i'm fan or not. As with the Corrie refresh it's hard to tell until you see it on screen and takes ages to get used to.

Haha... I always remember the woman hitting the man - we'd always make fun of it when it came on.

Hmm... will reserve judgement on the logo until the new titles are revealed. Is it confirmed that there'll be new music as well? I know it might not be popular, but I love the 1990s piano theme and would love something along those lines.

A collection of new logos have been created in order to reflect "different facets of the village" while the well-known Emmerdale theme music has been refreshed with a modernised new orchestra recording.

Emmerdale's revamp was masterminded by branding agency Lambie-Nairn, who were commissioned by ITV Creative for the project.

EMMERDALE has been given a new logo and the theme music has been remixed to make it more trendy.

ITV bosses say the smart new motif, with the name emblazoned in white letters on a black setting, helps “modernise” the soap.

It will be unveiled on telly for the first time in Monday’s episode.

The theme music has also been given a remix to update it and the opening titles have had a revamp.

Boss Steve November said: “Emmerdale has a unique voice and we wanted to reinforce that by giving it a fresher, more contemporary feel.”
