I like the new promo.....I realised about half way through it was the Emmerdale music
......very good though. I wonder what plot twists they have lined up.
If Jimmy survives then Sadie is in trouble. I know Patsy Kensit is leaving later this year, but it would be good if she gets banged up for attempted murder
As for the on-lookers just standing there for ages I think that can be easily explained by the fact that they were supposed to be in shock, and also because there had been multiple explosions (caused by lots of gas pipes going off at different times I would think) and they were waiting for them all to stop. After all, what idiot runs towards a house that is continually exploding - even if your "nearest & dearest" is inside

The one thing i can't get is this-Sadie was upstairs when the blast happened right? and the whole house fell down and she only came away with a broken arm?

Excuse for what? Why do you want an excuse for EE's 6.4 Million and not Corries 7.6 million? which is also incredibly low is not? especially for a show that has only a 1 million more viewers then a show that is considered to be dying on it's arse.
If EE was getting 6.4m and Corrie and Emmerdale were getting around 10m then yeah..I'd be eagerly awaiting the BBC's excuse. But this is a poor result for all the soaps.

Someone over at DS is reporting that on friday night Emmerdale took 6.5m whilst Eastenders only managed 6.4m.
Since the 2 never went head to head, whats the Beeb's excuse this time?
EDIT:
Emmerdale 6.5m (42.7%)
Coronation Street 7.6m (47.1%)
EastEnders 6.4m (38.5%)

Sadly soap ratings are boom or bust nowadays. If you have a decent plotline in a episode and stretch the show to an hour you are bound to gain viewers. I myself find Emmerdale to be very tedious, its repeats storylines over and over again.
Now I am not going to praise EastEnders as it's been very slack for months now but I am getting a little sick and tired of people wanting it to be axed. It's a decent soap but sadly suffers from crap writers. I am also sure that most of you don't relate to many of the new cast that appear in the past few months. All those kids are doing my fecking head in. They need to get decent writers in and do a bit of "big time" culling... and hey, maybe drop an episode whilst there at it.
As for Corrie, well again, nowadays I feel that too many episodes do ruin this fantastic show. It's the main reason why I don't watch it much. But the acting is spot on, well apart for Dev, and they have the mix of comedy and drama spot on.
