Yes, it was a great episode on Thursday, and enjoyed the Music... actaully tuned in by accident, as I was 'channel flicking'... and stayed tuned into Emmerdale... Going back to the question about the music and songs they played... they must have had pior permission to broadcast it over the scenes in the episode....

Like we never saw that coming...

Does any pre-teen soap child ever continue their role through to adulthood? It seems to be encouraged in Australian soaps but not ours.

Well, well, well. Maybe a reason to start watching Emmerdale again. Emmerdale will be part of world first at the end of the year, as is killed off this Christmas.

Quote:
The ensuing weeks will be full of twists and turns as some of the show’s most popular characters are placed at the centre of the enquiry, facing fierce interrogation in the hunt for the killer - the police are determined to leave no stone unturned.

In a world first, the whole storyline is to be fully interactive allowing viewers the opportunity of becoming super sleuths to help solve the crime via a dedicated ITV online portal. To be launched next month, it will consist of blogs, clues, secret e-mails and voicemails.

The viewer will be taken inside the show and have direct online interaction with the storyline. The cast will be seen trying to piece together the murder and their findings will, in turn, be immediately available for viewers to tap into online.

To add to the mystery, and for the first time ever, Emmerdale will film 10 secret scenes, each showing a different suspect committing the murder and therefore enabling 10 different possible outcomes. As a result, even the cast and crew won’t know who the killer is.

what was the name of the "soap" that Yorkshire TV originally did as a regional programme and then expanded into a daytime network show during the early 1990's??? IIRC all the plots etc were decdied by phone-poll by the viewers.

So effectively it isn't a unique experience as it has been tried before - just more technology to it nowadays (i.e. the Net - blogs etc...)

I think it's a little bit different to just picking the ending of plots - in fact, I believe the ending will have already been decided. It is in fact a bit like The Lost Experience, where the 'player's will be given clues and they effectively have to try and work out the culprit for themselves. Then the big reveal will be on ITV. I might be wrong but that's how it sounds to me. It's a fantastic idea from both ITV and the producers of Emmerdale and I can see this being a real success.
