Does anyone know Emmerdales alltime low ratings wise? Because on thursday it got-Edale:
6.4m
Are you trying to make the point that Emmerdale is somehow losing audience? It has never traditionally scored as high as the big two shows (although from time to time it has), but is still perfectly acceptable in its timeslot.
If this is *another* way of telling us how EastEnder is better then do give it a rest. Its tiresome and childish.
I don't know why you feel the need to disparage all other soaps. Its not as if you have anything to do with EastEnders' success, other than watching it.
Maybe it is losing it audience. Hardly surprising really. Ive said for ages that they need to cut back on the amount episodes. Ive not watched for several weeks because it was boring so I wouldnt be surprised if other people have switched off too.

I really don't see any evidence of that, other than this minor dip. Remember, it also managed to thrash EE less than 12 months ago.
I don't think the 6-night schedule is a problem. Unlike EE and Corrie, Emmerdale moves at a different pace, and isn't nearly as exhausting to watch as the others can be.
With respect Jez, its a tired old argument, especially as the ratings typically disprove your claims of "soap fatigue".
Anyway, there is a planned shake-up of the cast coming soon, with up to 7 characters going in an "explosive" fashion; so this minor lull probably won't last long.
In response to your question I would think Emmerdale's Farm's lowest ratings were during the 70s/80s as it wasnt networked (some regions showed it at lunchtime/early evening). Since being networked at 7pm ive no idea, however 6.4 is quite low.
I'm asking a question for godsake,This has nothing to do with Eastenders you bought it up not me
Don't roll your eyes at me, chuckles. You've got form on this score.
I know the difference between pee-pee and rainwater.

6.4m is not exceptionally low in the 7pm timeslot.
What's the source for the figure ? Given that Emmerdale has been rating 8-9m consistently this year so far, it certainly doesn't seem like some kind of downward trend.
If it's the same in a few weeks come back and tell us, or wait for the consolidated BARB figures.

No, I'm sure this has *nothing* to do with your EastEnders fixation.
