Do TV companies still have backup emergency broadcasts for their TV programmes? (November 2013)

I don't know what would happen if a nuclear bombing occurred right now; TV companies in the UK seem to not have planned or prepared for such emergencies.


There is a 4 min version of the BBC News Countdown in case of a nuclear apocalypse. Really epic remix from David Lowe on that one.

And I gather that Channel 4 has a special version of the video for Madonna/Justin Timberlake song '4 minutes'. It end with a slide which says 'Madonna failed.'

Somebody (I think Pete?) linked to this 10 year old post by MrTomServo a while ago now in a similar thread. A fantasy story on what might happen in a nuclear emergency. Unfortunately the images don't work anymore which is a shame.
