So, the world snooker is underway until 2nd May, and I must say, it's started with a bang. Tonight's match between the reigning champion Ronnie O'Sullivan and Steve Maguire was extremely tense. I honestly thought that Steve had a good chance of winning, but Ronnie won 10 frames to 9.
Is Ronnie going to do it again? Or would you prefer it if another player took the title. Personally, my favourite is Mark Williams.
Since this is a TV presentation forum, I'll say that the new remix of "Drag Racer" sounds a bit better than the last one... from the ten seconds I've heard of it. But they keep playing Spandau Ballet at the end instead.
It should prove to be a great fortnight of snooker but as usual the BBC are providing us with sub- standard commentary. John Virgo, Dennis Taylor and John Parrott are especially annoying in the commentary box.
In my opinion the six best living commentators are: Phil Yates, Clive Everton, Willie Thorne, Mark Wildman, Mike Hallett and David Taylor.
Now that most the live coverage is on BBCi, are BBC2 showing less than they did before?
Also, although not strictly in BBC4's remit - though a sport you'd associate with BBC4's target audience, do you think it be an idea to put an evening match on BBC4 each night - and possibly attract some viewers to the station who otherwise wouldn't watch it!
