Something must have gone astray then - Sky's last 3-year deal for La Liga was signed in August 2015:

AFAIK the league did move most games during that deal, but with one big exception in 2016:
It's very rare the El Classico games fall in the blackout - indeed I think the recent Sky deals insisted they didn't.

La Liga also had a tradition of trolling British Sky viewers, by starting Barça v Real Madrid on Saturday afternoons between 2.45 and 5.15 UK time, when the coverage couldn't be shown on UK TV.
El Clásico kickoff times + British anger level
2013: Sat 5pm | | | | | | | | | |
2014: Sat 5pm | | | | | | | | | |
2015: Sat 5.15pm | | | |
2016: Sat 7.30pm | | |
2016: Sat 3.15pm | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
(rage possibly Brexit-assisted)
2017: Sat 12 noon | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
Nice work imo. The 'inconvenient' times will probably continue – as mentioned earlier, the Asia audience is a bigger factor in La Liga's schedules, and in some other European leagues. So, early afternoon kickoffs might become more common. Eleven Sports is taking the UK rights to La Liga, but it has English football rights abroad, so it wouldn't try to breach the FA's blackout.

www.elevensports.uk now live.
Prices displaying in euro for me of course, but presuming the packages are similar in Sterling....
Annual sub €69.99pa
Monthly sub (cancel any time) €7.99pm
PGA Championship (so much for being free) €7.99
Also it appears the linear Eleven Sports 1 channel launched this morning, with the first days schedule consisting of a bevy of recorded material

I don't see why anyone wouldn't just pay for a month and get to watch some other stuff instead of paying the same price for one event in the PGA Championship (9th - 12th August).
They seem to have 3 channels, Eleven Sport 1 and 2 and La Liga TV.

Wow.
Is it me, or does it appear they don't have full access to the La Liga/Sirie A back catelouge?
Because if they had, you would have assumed they would throw in the odd 'classic el classico' full game here and there, rather than that collection of dreary schedule fillers.

The fact that they appear to have gone back on their word to offer the PGA Championship for free, only two weeks after they jumped up and down about it, does not bode well. No mention of a free trial and a €7.99/£6.99 PPV for the tournament (the same as a monthly pass) is now what’s being advertised.

They seem to have taken the UK site offline again now but it had an On Demand section which included programmes from La Liga TV in there.

A free trial is mentioned on the UK and Ireland page of the main site. The first two rounds will also be streamed on their Facebook page.
Anyone signing up before the end of August will be able to take the Early Bird rate on the annual pass of £49.99.

Their corporate site says it's £5.99/€6.99 per month. First week free, so you get the PGA for free... if you sign up on the 6th.
