They may say that, but we now know what the price was for that contract renegotiation. Contract now ends at the end of the season and is now non-exclusive.

They are now little more than just a relay of LaLigaTV, and La Liga wouldn’t be shopping the rights elsewhere if they were invested in Eleven Sports as their long term UK partners.

.... what now for Eleven Sports.

I've just flicked on my Android TV player, lots of the catchup stuff is available free to view, so I get the feeling that we might have seen the end in under twelve months for the service, La Liga is over so they really have nothing new going forward whatsoever.

I suppose nobody's announced that the don't have the rights for next season.

So they're in denial? Are they planning to show the games despite not having the rights i.e. illegally?

Eleven Sports 2 is back today, for Man Utd v Leeds in a pre-season friendly. Rather ambitiously, they're charging £7.99 for the match. There are no schedules listed for either channel tomorrow on their website and no monthly passes to buy. Is this a last throw of the dice?

I think it's still a simulcast of La Liga TV.

I presume they’re only keeping it open until the rights are awarded, in the interests of maintaining good relations with La Liga.

So I've looked at their website tonight. There's no schedule from tomorrow, which might be significant, but might not be. Standing out like a sore thumb though on it, is some content from Leeds United and their Manager, surprise, surprise.

Been a compromise on the scheduling issue with matches permitted on Fridays but not Mondays. Still no UK broadcaster.

I don't think they add the schedule until on the day - it seems that whenever I look there's no schedule for the next day.
