Eggheads

Morning Ladels and Jellyspoons,

I was wondering what people think of this quiz show. Both my mother and I really enjoy it, but we both think it is ruined by one thing. That would be the childish attitude of certain Egghead members, namely Daphnie and CJ.


It is bad enough when they pull faces like a 3 year old when they think that someone on their own team has got an answer wrong but I think it is totally rude when they do it to the challengers. I would love one day for them to do this and then Dermot say actually they were right so loose the stupid face

It seems you can learn facts, but not humility and politeness

The show's really been taking the piss recently. Jade Goody, for crying out loud.

Love it, being a bit of 'know it all' myself on a couple of subjects. Well 'Entertainment' and 'Politics' actully.... well 'Popular Music and '20th Century British Politics' to be more precise.

I nearly alwas beat everyone on the show hands down with questions on those two.

I think these days he claims to "still be the International Mastermind Champion" or words to that effect, with the emphasis on the "still".

Of course, the reason he is still the International Mastermind Champion is that they stopped holding the competition after he won it because the Aussies and New Zealenders pulled out.

Ugh I agree. Drives me mad.

I have no doubt they are all very intelligent etc, but their constant smugness and the fact that Judith looks like she has a bad smell under her nose throughout the whole show, puts me off watching it.

Judith and CJ are the more lightweights of the team. Kevin, Daphe & Chris are the better players.

I think alot of people have worked out all their strong & weak spots

Think this is what the show is all about. To try and wipe the smug g|t smile off thier faces and make us feel really thick. You always want the challengers to win.

I don't

They're smart, but not smart enough; they have been beaten by challengers before even though they've had the numbers advantage.

And yet despite these losses, Dermot still says something like "Congratulations Eggheads, can anyone beat you?" at the end any shows they now win, as if they've never lost a game!

I watch in support of the Eggheads because their know-it-all's and the kind of company I keep: trying to ado each other with knowledge is what we do, so 4 of these have my respect and I like them for being smug becuase It's a nice kick knowing more than others.

I don't really like CJ as person I just find abit of a .... becuase he makes his views on stuff very clear and I just don't argee with alot of it, so its personal agnst but I do side the eggheads. Knowledge is power and their cool people to have it all.

I personally find the show pointless and annoying. Yes, we know they're a set of very clever people, so bloody what.
