This thread is interesting, in that a man says that he is responsible for tv being crap these days, and everyone is saying "get him back on!" Weird. Yet I still sort of agree. It is someone like Noel who will come up with a good idea which will change everything around. That said, Chris Evans has had a go, and failed miserably. Don't forget that Evans was the nineties Edmonds.
He was on just before midnight. Said his comments had been taken out of context. He admitted that the final days of the House Party had not been very original, but he blamed budget constraints. He also said there will never be huge audiences for television again, because people have so many other things to do - and he said that he himself watches very little television.
Sara Cox commented on what Noel had said this morning on her show, she said that she was a bit annoyed about what he'd said because she grew up watching him and admiring him, and that she'd never said the word that he said she'd said (and I have to admit I've never heard her use it either, having listened to R1 most mornings since 1999).
She said she has written "WWND?" on her wrist for future reference - "What would Noel do?"
I like her diary on radio 1 online; where it says that he's attacked her as he still has a grudge from when she turned down an appearance on the house party where she was asked to be on the quiz part popping out of one of the windows and telling a joke and question!
Moyles was on about Noal Edmonds aswell; he tried to call him and ended up with a funny mans name he spoke Noel Edmonds and came back with something like Muma Izmit or something. He said they should bring back the house party and then they were on about the party mixes with fame academy, noel's house academy; wouldnt be so bad him doing house party from an actual house and then having the fame academy bits on for fun. Though I suppose the set was constructed so that it was easily accessible to things like the front door and stuff.
Though whose massive house has a massive hall which is half a house and half an audience?
I prefered the last house where it was rounded though it did look a bit like a round theatre, though who has an audience in their house?
Speaking of sara cox (as i earlier was) are they doing a new series of born sloppy on 4? I quite liked it; didnt like the first week but after that it began to pick up
