Does anyone have an idea of the films being shown over Easter this year? By looking at Good Friday's offering I guess that there isn't too much to get excited over. Mulan and Lost in Space on BBC1, Crocodile Dundee and the Friday night Bond movie on ITV1 and relatively little on the other terrestrial channels. I also saw on digiguide (their schedules are not confirmed yet) that "Hook" is on Easter Sunday and "Sliding Doors" on Easter Monday. A bit of a poor effort! As Easter is incredibly early this year and with the chance of it being cold and wet, surely the schedulers could have put something decent on.

I have just seen a trailer for "Fingersmith" on BBC1. This would make good Easter viewing. Is it on over Easter? I know there's a drama with Timothy Spall about a teacher that looks quite good!

I never look foward to Easter, it is just dull, fortunately this year I will be working for most of it! Very Happy

On a TV note it has never been impressive, very few new programmes are shown and it's an excuse to show aload of Films you would normally see on a Bank Holiday anyway, such as Superman, Crocodile Dundee, James Bond etc etc

I always remember something that Channel 4 used to do, they showed a Raymond Briggs cartoon called 'Grampa' that would always be shown at Easter IIRC, it was nice but the ending was very sad (Snowman style) but it disappeared one year.

Apart from the premiere of Doctor Who on Easter Saturday, I don't think there's much going on as far as Easter TV goes.

C4 have the third series of "The Games" beginning on, and I quote, "Bank Holiday Friday".

Casanova is supposed to be transferring to BBC1 within the next few weeks.

At least the BBC still refer to it as "Good Friday". The PC brigade want the name of Good Friday changed now do they? Well, like it or not, and if anyone from the ethnic background finds this statement offensive (which I know they wont because of all the asians I know most of them find the fact that we think they will find things offensive rather than the supposedly offensive thing) then I am sorry... Good Friday is the day that Jesus Christ was crucified. At least it is the day Christians commemorate it. It wasn't a Bank Holiday when He died so to call it Bank Holiday friday is, in my opinion, extremely offensive to the native majority.
