OK, I know Easter is just under a couple of weeks away, but the schedules are starting to emerge... Here's Good Friday's latest offerings (Easter Sunday/Bank Holiday Monday not fully confirmed yet):

BBC ONE:

6am Breakfast
9am Animal 24/7
9:45 Who Do You Say I Am?
10:45 To Buy or Not To Buy
11:30 Cash In The Attic
12:30 BBC News/Weather
12:50 Regional News/Weather
13:00 Neighbours
13:25 Diagnosis Murder
14:10 'Allo 'Allo!
14:35 Keeping Up Appearances
15:05 Last of the Summer Wine
15:35 FILM: The Prince of Egypt
17:05 FILM: 102 Dalmatians
18:30 Regional News
19:00 Orangutan Diary
19:30 Question of Sport
20:00 Eastenders
20:30 My Family
21:00 FILM: Starsky & Hutch
22:35 News
22:55 Golf (US Masters)
00:00 FILM: Knock Off
01:30 News 24.

At the moment, it looks like a mix between any normal weekday (daytime programming) and a Sunday, until 3:35, then it looks like a normal Friday night from 6:30 until 9pm! There'll probably be some changes between now and the next week or so... (I imagine they might be finalising the schedule in the next few days for listings magazines) but it does seem a bit weak for a holiday schedule so far.

ITV doesn't look much better, either, the only real differences I can see are no "This Morning", You've Been Framed at 6pm (regional news at 6:30-6:45) and Jane Austen's Emma at 8:30pm!

TBH the more normal the schedule is, the better, I don't know what it is, but I really used to hate TV at Easter when I was younger as 3 out of 4 days were a Bank Holiday so whenever I put the TV on then there would be an 8000th repeat of an Old Western or something.

Most channels carry on as usual, all I'd guess is that Channel 4 won't have a News At Noon and no full length 7pm News and that Five just carry on as normal really.

Easter is barely noticed now - which is a shame as though never on the scale of Christmas, the channels used to put some effort in - usually with programmes postponed from the Christmas schedule.

Slightly on but off topic, ITV showing Harry Potter next week (Chamber of Secrets, whichever one that is) - and once again the trailer is filled with that copyright text which no other film considers itself that important to include. This time too there seems to be more of it and on for longer too!

So they're scheduling Harry Potter against the Doctor Who premiere for the second year running? Original.

HP, isn't the only Film franchise to do so, Star Wars seem to have one added to their Promos whenever they do the rounds on Sky Movies.

Noticed that Motorola are no longer sponsoring 'ITV1 Movies' either, it's 118 118.com now.

Repeats of 'Allo 'Allo, Keeping Up Appearances and Last of The Summer Wine all in one afternoon - is this the BBC trying to hype up our excitement of the traditional family sitcom again?

Anyway, I don't remember much from the Easter schedules when I was young. Of course in 2002, the Queen Mother died around Easter so they mainly showed tributes on the Sunday.

ITV1's Good Friday schedule is the same as a normal Friday apart from 1 or 2 differences like there being no 'This Morning' and shorter evening and late news bulletins.

Have to see what that come up with for the rest of the Easter weekend.

My dad will be pretty angry that Neighbours wion't be repeated, as he watches it at 5:36pm! Laughing

I guess he will have to tape the show at 1:00pm! (LOL!)

Nothing original for BBC One then. It's just a mix of a weekday and a Sunday schedule with shorter news bulletins and nothing of any real value worth watching.

I suppose it was to be expected.

Im surprised the BBC havent dropped Neighbours for the Bank Holidays. Mind you were are 9 weeks behind currently, unlike previous years, so I guess they dont need to.

Eh? Isn't there a national around that time, or just a full-length regional?

A very poor show for "Good" Friday. But why am I surprised if BBC1 got away with showing normal daytime fayre on New Year's Day?
