Well the live episode went well.

Which is more than can be said for the crossover between BBC One and BBC Three on the Backstage Live programme - a sloppy crash out on BBC One and what looked like an automated crash in on BBC Three.

Well the link from BBC1 to BBC3 was as slick as anything! Zoe Ball is no Sue Barker when it comes to swapping channels.
London Lite and Johnnie gave kudos

You could almost imagine Red Bee shouting at the EE gallery. Yes she's said hello to BBC Three, but she hasn't said goodbye to BBC One, and now she's launched into an interview, do we crash out or wait?

I suspect somebody wasn't watching the timings at the 9pm junction for BBC One, and BBC Three, having not been overruled otherwise, just crashed into the feed at 9pm on the dot, without continuity voiceover on the BBC Three ident.

Apart from the ridiculous fireworks at the end; tonight's live show was really good. relentlessly grim but nicely done. Keeping it relatively low key and focusing on a handful of characters was a refreshing change to usual live soap specials that tend to go for OTT theatrics and stunts.

Corrie has been sh*t since Hayley Croppers brilliant exit storyline.

I don't think the BBC have learned anything from the god awful Doctor Who live show on BBC Three with Backstage Live. Pure car crash tv.

That really was rather good. A couple of minor issues with sound between scenes, and maybe a couple of zooms caught on a cut, but I didn't spot a single fluff. Danny Dyer didn't even swear.

And now we know what caused by the fire on set the other night. I'm glad they avoided going from the plinky-plonky music straight into the theme, which has never worked.

Who's this guy on the left though? Looked like he'd never seen a TV camera before.

Nice nod to the creators with the Julia + Tony heart.

Really? Apart from when they finished on BBC1 which was a mess, it all seemed fine from what I saw. At least as smooth as such a programme gets

Yes, that was nice. I wasn't sure about the random shots of bits of the set though, what was the connection?

You missed Joe Swash's dodgy handover to Ore when he said Zoe instead. Ore was out of place and what the hell were they thinking with Swash with his tan dripping off his face?

EE did some low key webcasts after each live edition with Ellie Taylor from Snog, Marry, Avoid who was bang on target for this show. Didn't even feature tonight, instead parachuting Zoe Ball instead.
