Eastenders - live week

Who killed thingy? (spoiler alert: it was whatshisname) (February 2015)

So, Eastenders's live week has just begun in earnest, and with any luck will provide at least one cock-up worthy of discussion. Personally I'm disappointed with the BBC before the titles have even rolled:

"It's live when you see #eelive on screen!"

Can people really not stand to wait until something has finished to start discussing it?*

*Yes, I am aware of the irony of my own post, although technically I haven't started watching it, as it's still on pause.

Sad they feel the need to flag it up though I guess by definition Eastenders viewers are idiots.

Nice touch with the songs in tonight's episode coming from this week back in 1985.

I liked how they super imposed the Docklands area in the wideshot with Ian and Sharon. Twitter are confused as to what Max said at the end of tonight's episode.
Have you washed your hands?

Ah, so I'm not the only one! I thought he said

"whether you killed Lucy", but the subtitles said "that you killed Lucy".

Sounds like it should be...

whether you killed Lucy

But it could've been a dodgy delivery of...

Well, that you killed Lucy.

The live subtitler went with "that you" but it all adds to more social discussion either way.

Interesting to see a facebook.com link instead of the BBC Three plug on the endboard.

There's a article on what's involved this week from BBC Studios at http://www.bbcstudiosandpostproduction.com/blog/eastenders-live-week-uncovering-technical-set-behind-30th-anniversary-celebrations/

Obviously a red herring, since it was meant to be revealed on Thursday, not Tuesday.

I'm glad that they did flag the live bits. Unflagged, I wouldn't have known the scenes at the end were live.
