EASTENDERS !HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY!

With EastEnders celebrating 20 years, it's about time the soap had a new ident. The current credit map has been going for quite a few years now and is quite frankly annoying!!!!!!!
I much prefer the EastEnders revealed ident as it is nice and modern

Does anyone know whether or not EastEnders will be getting a new look :

well I don't care, because I would never watch that trash anymore!

The titles were last updated in 1999/2000 to include the Millennium Dome which can be seen from space.

I'd imagine it wouldn't be very well received by the viewers if the titles were changed - they're somewhat of an institution now, even though they are boring and crap (a bit like the show really)

Didn't they try to remix the theme tune at one point?

OH yeah the ident is just as annoying as the ancient GMTV studio backdrop

Yes I think they tried changing the theme tune at one point to some really bad jazz type noise *1992*

But I still think the ident now should change, even Coronation Street has a better ident.

They're called titles dear. An Ident is only the bit in-between programmes.

It's still called "EastEnders BBC", I see. I always thought adding the "BBC" was rather stupid. Like "Crossroads Kings Oak".

I would like it if they kept the theme and made it more dramatic and the end of the titles could stay,with clips of eastenders before.

I'd quite like it if we had short flashbacks of the previous episode before the titles.

In fact, here's an idea which perhaps a brilliant mockist could produce:

Flashbacks at the beginning, of say 5 clips, each lasting a second or two, which fade in from black, and out to black, a little tick inbetween, with atmospheric music, and at the end of the last clip, the famous drums and then the usual titles.
