I quite enjoyed the second part of Enders this evening. I see the whole show now hangs on June Brown fantastic acting skills.

I was having this conversation with a friend of mine and we both agreed that June Brown's acting is nothing to write hoem about. It's really quite wooden and bland.

I feel nasty saying it, as she is an old timer and such a pleasnt character, but her acting is out of date.

And what was all that crap about Michelle not turning up to her own Mum's funeral. Sigh!

Was it even explained?

As good as the episodes were, I can't help feeling this whole thing just isn't a fitting ending for the wonderful Wendy Richard. She deserved better than that.

The EastEnders Revealed programme was more of fitting tribute really, even got a new longer mix of Julia's Theme!

I missed it. Pleased that Julia's theme was used though.

It was used on the Revealed show but not on the actual episode.

(Or did you mean you missed the revealed show?)

I agree; the episode was good (the Revealed programme was even better) but would have been improved by entirely focusing on the funeral rather than all the Kevin/Shirley scenes.

Although it would have been even better to have had the funeral off-screen to avoid the no Michelle, Sharon, Vicki, Derek, Kenny, Auntie Nellie etc. situation. Even Pat wasn't there and she and Pauline had been friends for a number of years (admittedly they started off enemies but grew to be friends) - her absence wasn't explained.

She could have come back I thought. I'm surprised Pam didn't want to be there, especially since she said some lovely things about Wendy on the Revealed show. Of course her absence wasn't as pathetic as Michelle's.

Another excellent episode from EastEnders and another great cliffhanger.
