I'm glad this has happen as Nick would be so out of place in the Square nowadays. I swear June Brown has been in almost every episode this year LOL! The square won't be the same without her, even if she does only go for a short while.

But actor John Altman is NOT coming back as the plot will unfold off screen. John was in the show from its launch in 1985 until 1993.

He returned for a few episodes in 1998 and a spin-off drama in 2000.

Over the years Nick proved he was rotten to the core. He was a racist bully, heroin addict and pimp.

The thug stole from “Ma” and even tried to kill her.

An insider said: “People are always asking what is going to happen to Nick. Now we are putting an end to his evil. Dot is devastated and leaves Albert Square to care for Nick in his last days.”

The plot to kill Nick off has been devised to give June time to take a much-needed break.

His demise comes after another off-screen death when Kathy Beale, played by Gillian Taylforth, died in a car crash in South Africa.

And they would have already seen it on the previous page. He never covers spoilers up anyway, but I'm not getting at him. If it weren't for him, this thread would probably go down the drain.

Jean Slater to return to the Square

Gillian Wright, who plays EastEnders' Jean Slater (Stacey Slater's (Lacey Turner) mother), will be returning to Walford.

My sources inform me that she'll be on screen from early summer - my guess would be around June.

Keep your eyes peeled.

That's really good news, the storyline worked great, it was Lacey at her best! Can't wait for the Grant/Jane storyline to kick off aswell.

Lacey is a brilliant actress I just found the story really depressing.

I'm hoping there is a story (relationship?) between Grant and Jane because I'm getting bored of seeing good old "friendly" Grant. Laughing

Yeh there is. There's actually going to be at least two flings Grant has in the near future. I thought Ian's revenge was fantastic, but ended up feeling slightly sorry for Phil. Also Martin is set to have a couple of relationships with Dawn and a newcomer named Chelsea.
