A very good, gripping episode of EastEnders lastnight. I enjoyed Ian winding up the Mitchell's with his devious plan. EE feels like it's on a roll at the moment - I hope they keep the momentum up to Christmas (and beyond).

The ratings were really poor. 9.4m on a November Monday and 2m less than Corrie is not very good at all

It'll be getting axed at this rate Laughing

You have absolutely no frakkin clue how to interpret ratings. 9.2m might be less than Coronation Street, but it is far from "really poor". The ceiling for ratings in normal circumstances nowadays is around 12m, so it is doing quite alright thank you Mr. Andrew ITV.

Just because I don't usually post in this thread does not mean that I do not read it. Unlike you, I don't post in it just to gloat.

As for "knowing the background", I look at the ratings and analyse them in an objective manner. Something it seems you do not. 12m is about the best ANY programme in normal circumstances can pray for. Only in special circumstances like the World Cup will the ratings exceed that nowadays.

True. EastEnders is still the second most watched show on television which is no mean feat. I don't think you could call the ratings poor. Even if the show itself can be.

I tell you the background. One regular contributor to this thread regularly posts in the Coronation Street thread any slightly negative story that appears in todays Daily Star and blows it out of all proportion. I was just having a bit of fun in the opposite direction. You are obviously taking it far to seriously

Brilliant episode last night. Ian was at his sceeming best but I was so happy when the smirk was taken off his face at the end.

Good comedy as well with Mo and Bert and the hillarious Gary and Minty scene at the garage

Remind me not to ask you to recommend a good comedy.

Oh my gosh.... Was tonight's episode not utter tripe? How painfully melodramatic and unrealistic. The ''fight'' mud scene was pathetic, an insult to Shakespeare if that's what the creatively-challenged producer of the ailing show was aiming for.
